Finished presenting the critique, not really bad respond but down with flu and fever for 3 days …… seriously not funny …… now i’m worried for my academic attendance ……… fml

April and May is indeed a blooming season for hanami super busy schedule …….. i swear to god all work comes in a bulk!!!! estimation of 3 more weeks till Y2 ends ….. and i still have countless of unfinished projects and proposal ……… work side …… shitloads of unforeseen workloads and handful of stupid ignorant customers is enough to keep me busy for a whole month …… freelance side …… not really smooth sailing i should say ……. just turned down a project that i really like just because of super tight schedule for May …… FML

oh …… here’s the poster i did SUPER SUPER last minute for entry for the KBU & wREGA’s World Graphics Day poster design thingy ….. and it got shortlisted *surprise* ……. material sourcing, character folding, photography, lighting, bg material scanning, editing, typography, minor structure aligning ……. thank god i got the ideas all ready so that i can finish everything in less than an hour

a very cliche looking poster i should say …….. but something really me which i love to play with copywriting and typography despite being relatively weak at image making ……

Workloads are seriously beyond hellish ……. despite 1 project down there are still tons to go ……

so I was indecisive over project topics of lastminute.com and book cover design and i truthfully named my assignment as THE LASTMINUTE BOOK COVER DESIGN during presentation …….. fail har har

everything turns out just like crap bubbles start developing in between the transparent adhesive and the tint film double spray mount and double sided tape refuse to hold my artwork on the mounting board i end up applying UHU and congratulations …….. it totally stain and blotch the printing …… how genius is that …….. reprinted and i patheticly ran out of materials …… and cash to buy more ……. and also thanks to some “guidance” totally not pointed out on the publisher logo usage error ………

I totally admit the last minute-ness of this project ……. i even lost like more than 10 pages of my brainstorming and tryout on my A3 sketchbook sheets (which i totally need to figure out where the hell they are) that are to be binded which i also did SUPER last minute yesterday ….. god bless my workplace for a moment  …….. painstakingly i manually “die-cut” the printout and nicely aligned them perfectly to the spine  and wrap them like mad and have to produce effing 3 copies ……. was sooooo worried about the wrapping part which i actually have very limited materials ……. thank god it turns out well and nicely wrap …… i bet its because of the paper material i chose as well kinds resin/waxy-ish therefore adhesive doesnt adhere that efficiently and i can adjust around alot …….oh yea ….. the magnet sheet FAIL ….. just because i tested with non laminated paper and i ended up with laminated finishing it refuse to give even the slightest magnetic force ……. *shakes head*

hrmm well i’m actually quite satisfied with the finishing of the mockup books despite the really last minute of EVERYTHING …… i wish Malaysia is more material sufficient …….. like where to print hologram sticker (that was my initial idea okay ….. ) YOU TELL ME!!! ……… well thanks for appreciating my artwork overall …….. don’t you even dare speculate about the production ……. after all the hardwork and years of improving my craft skills ……. despite me being weak at imagemaking and illustration =.=

shall just cut that crap and just improve more to be re-submitted next week …….. how on earth can i struggle through with shitloads od case study to research? As Ms TY reminded me …. “TLH, remember that you are a full time student ” ……. try convincing my conscience for realising i sucked too much of my parents’ money ……. as for going to UK for my final year? i hope i can get an answer before admission deadline ……

2 more hours till i need to be in college for a final rundown of the presentation …….. just FINALLY FINAL FINAL FINALLLLLL finish editing the flash work as i cam home after the discussion rest a lil had dinner and nap till 1.30am ….. a helpful nap indeed

i fail to imply the back ground music at the very last minute ……. but i double checked everything ready for presentation and now …….. *shaking head at my sketch book* why it somehow still seems empty?

Project 3 is almost coming to an end ……. i hope we can still keep up this spirit on helping each other!!!!

GETTING READY FOR PRESENTATION!!!!!

got jailed at home for one hour thanks to housemate …….. was late for meeting with groupmates *sorry guys*

after a speed meal at mc D (wahahaha very bad for health right mr sean?) we move to ZK’s place to complete the final touch up of ze project stuff like adding additional stuff to sketch book complete all the necessary boards ……. and i finalize some final flash work ……. more to finalize till the very last minute *koff* ……. spend wholeeeeee day rummaging on final touch up of work where Wendy completing our slides and help Krystal on pasting stuff, ZK did some final cropping and editing while me munching ground nuts in one corner ……… jk …….. was finalizing flash file and updating my sketch book and help Wendy & Krystal on the boards and slides!! THE WHOLEEEEEEEEEEE day is to quarantine ourselves to finish up the project …… AND WE DID IT!!!! …….. except me wanting to finalize more stuff hehe ……. surprisingly headache doesnt seems to be attacking me badly today good lord ……

after finishing our stuff we moved our asses and headed home *except ZK* and got some SOS distress call from Xiang Her on helping her on their flash stuff …… did some editing for them …… and now Jack said distress call from Prosha’s group YIKES!!! sorry girls i really couldnt make it anymore as i still need to complete archiving my sketchbook and finalizing more flash stuff too!! GOOD LUCK!!! JACK SAVE THEM!!!

well thats for today!! I’m grateful that my groupmates and a bunch of wonderful friends where we work together and learn to give in and cover for each other in order to complete this project!! THANKS GUYS!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! forgive me for any mistakes i’ve made ne!

anyway ….. nice session of discussion with groupmates and a spy from other group *koff* and gossiping while slurping my iced americano ….. atleast the caffein helps supress the headache a tiny bit but heck it contributes to SLEEPINESS OMFG ……. should listen to everyone ….. no more panadol for me for the coming few days T^T ……. overdose la weh …… if swallowing paper clips helps shoo-ing headache away i will …… i have a container full of them ……. some are even as colourful as jelly beans and candy cane …….

well so far my experiments turn out to be fruitfull despite alot of paper wastage, trashing and mess creating going on …… it seems to help alot after being scanned ……. not bad *pats on the back*
